if they think we the Stargate fans are going to support the New show coming out soon, they better think before they act….
the writing is terrible!! they clearly have lost steam… if the same writers are going to write the new show, then FOOEY!!!!!!
clearly it’s time for new talent to write the show… Atlantis and SG1 ARE awesome, and were awesome… meaning the later seasons really LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED!!!! some episodes were LAME And clearly written to accommodate BUDGET restrictions which SHOULD NEVER have BEEN THERE!!! meaning they need to SPEND THE money to make GOOD, well rounded episodes…

Mercifully, Atlantis was put out of its misery after producing yet another lacklustre season.
Gone are the story arcs and in their place are a collection of filler episodes that nobody remembers nor wants to view again.
The cast do their best, but when they are served up dreck by the writers of the show-who should have been put out to pasture long ago-there is only so much they can salvage.
Shamefully, the cast have been given their marching orders but the culprits for the poor quality of the show, the writers, showrunners etc., have moved on to the next Stargate series to further drive the poor ailing franchise into the ground..

My biggest problem with this season is that SciFi has yet to show all of the episodes for the entire season either on television or the video on demand on their website. And until today I did not know that season 5 was the final season for Atlantis, which really ticks me off.
The last episode I got to see on television was “Las Vegas”, I had my DVR set to record the entire season and for some reason after this episode the series never finished being televised.
I will buy this as soon as it’s released on DVD just so I can watch the entire season and see how it ends.

Outstanding Series. I’m a Stargate addict. I now own all 10 seasons of SG-1 and all 5 seasons of Atlantis.
