I watched “Dave and the Giant Pickle” with my child. I was shocked by its political/religious content and would never show it to my child again. I was very disappointed that there was no disclosure on the DVD cover warning parents about the propaganda contained in the movie.

When Bumblyberg needs a hero, who do they call? Larry-Boy, that’s who! This VeggieTales Bumblyberg Superhero Value Pack features four discs of family values and family fun with the focus on the VeggieTales’ resident superhero, Larry-Boy. The stories included are “Larry-Boy and the Fib From Outer Space,” “Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed,” “Dave and the Giant Pickle,” and a fourth disc featuring Larry-Boy’s Cartoon Adventures.

Bonus features included on the discs are trivia games, Behind the Scenes featurettes, hilarious Veggie Karaoke, and many more. There are also a few Easter eggs hidden on the discs for those who want to find them.

My personal favorite feature is the “How to draw” series that teaches kids (and parents) how to draw characters from the show.

I also like the fact that you can actually see the production quality of VeggieTales improve if you watch the shows in chronological order. It’s great to see that such a wonderful children’s program keeps improving.

If you have a young child who has fallen in love with Larry-Boy, this value pack is the best deal you can find. It’s family friendly, hilarious for children and adults, and encourages children to think about the consequences of the things that they do.

My 2 1/2 year old son fell in love with LarryBoy so this four pack was a must. He loves it.
