This is quite possibly Craig McCrackens’ best animated T.V. show to ever appear on the Cartoon Network. Unlike his other previous works, “Dexter’s Laboratory” & Powerpuff Girls”, I believe “Samurai Jack” had more effort put into it. The detail is astounding, the atmosphere is fun and imaginative, and the characters are very interesting. Also, there’s no stupid, idiotic (not to mention sometimes ANNOYING!) humor involved in this compared to the crappy ‘Dexter’ & ‘Powerpuffs’. Once you watch the incredible (sometimes computerized) non-stop action, you’ll be drawn right in to the amazing world of Jack & friends! Oh, did I forget to mention there’s also plenty of blood involved? GRADE A CARTOON MATERIAL FOR ALL AGES! Now, if they could just release the COMPLETE First Season of “Ed, Edd n Eddy” on DVD I’d be even more satisfied. I hope that the Cartoon Network and Danny are up to it though. That’s another good show that never fails to be funny compared to some of the other REALLY lame shows on that network!

This show is so bad. I mean …the drawings are terrible the plot is absurd. How something like this gets on the air is uncomprehensible. I notice alot of people here bash down the negative reviews on this, obviously im guessing because they are fans. I’ve seen web-animations that are better than this…for one example “Ninjai” and that show is created with less people and creates more emotion. With that said I gave this got two stars because I can remember about two episodes that actually came close to being good.. But if this was any attempt at something epic..they failed. Now vote me down… cause the truth hurts baby!

If you’re curious as to the “inspiration” for this “creative” show, just look up the mid 80’s graphic novel RONIN by Frank Miller. It’s all about a Samurai who is sent to the future and must do battle with a shape-changing demon by the name of Agat in a futuristic landscape……???????? Now my question is, has Miller tried suing the pants off these guys? If so, why not?

Why can't people just stick to what they can do best?

Genndy Tartakovsky makes a great job entertaining children all over the free world (of all ages), why in the name of Stan Lee he tried to approach those children's parents to a show with no content at all?

All the cliches are here, people! The meditative silence, the samurai's squeaking blade and the falling leaves that yawningly fall to the hero's feet. Genndy, leave it to Quentin!

The superficiality of the Japanese theme is the paradigm of how westerners see the Japanese Culture in particular, and Oriental religion in general. Make no mistake this is an adult product disguised as a kid's show. This is Gauguin's atoll girls all over again! The stressed out-workaholic-middle-class children will have a journey to the ether here!

It's amazing how history repeats itself, and the ***** 5 stars given by almost everyone(?) is the living proof that a vast majority of us are tired from reality, from our jobs, from ourselves, and 10 minutes of a shallow pseudo-anime cartoon show gives just what the doctor ordered.

I could go on about how Jack is identical with Miller's character but I think I made my point.

Grow up people! If you want to see mesmerizing anime and travel trough your lost childhood buy "Spirited Away"or better yet, the amazing "Porco Rosso"!
If you don't have much money to buy a real animation masterpiece get a used copy (on Amazon.com ,of course) of "Animatrix" to see a taste of what real anime looks like.

Stop watching your kid's cartoons !!!!! It's bad for you and it's WEIRD !!!!

Is everyone on earth blind, this show is awful. All it is is fake anime. Except for the fact that anime is way cooler than this piling heap of garbage. How could everyone say the animation in this show is good, it’s awful. Theres no dimension to the art and the animation is awful. And the character designs are so bad it’s laughable.

Samuari Jack’s story also leaves much to be desired. For one thing it’s totally unoriginal, anime has done things like that a million times over, and it’s also done it much better than Samurai jack, but of course since an american made it everybody talks about how great it is. The characters also suck. Jack is completely monotoned and talks in the clich’e samuari asian voice. Aku is also completely boring, just your typical villain.

In conclusion I hate Samurai Jack, It’s one of the worst shows I have ever seen.
