Well these cartoons are more educational then superheroing, I can understand why they did it. They wanted cartoons to educate as well as entertain. I guess it could have been done better. Then again that;s what School House Rock was all about, but then again School House Rock had a better team of animators and recording artists to work on them. These cartoons look like they were done by people who could only draw what the low budget permitted.

Now this was a surprise, hot off the heels of the releases of the last two SF series (Legendary Super Powers and Super Powers Team). I thought WB would be content giving us a sample of the Wonder Twins, a sample of the Legion of Doom, and the Super Powers era. But I am VERY pleased to see the releases keep on coming. This one will have some full-length adventures not unlike “Volume 2″ in the series of DVDs, but also has short adventures that introduce other characters in the DC Universe. The alien/mad scientist rogues’ gallery from the Wendy/Marvin era more or less remain, though. But another new addition are the PSA’s, crafts, and magic tricks, which will hopefully be intact on the set.

Hopefully this is a sign that we’ll get the rest of the Superfriends series indeed. And more from the Filmation library.

Great DVD, corny yet satisfying. Let’s hope all the remaining superfriend iterations are released!

Great stuff! The episodes are not in the original order, but they are exactly how I remember them. I look forward to volume 2 and more!!

Batman is still goofy but it gets better in the 90s show.

“MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE HALL OF JUSTICE!” My kids love this stuff even more than we did back when it was new. Now Saturday Morning is anytime.
